This is one of my favorite places to visit and take the boys. It always feels so adventurous to be surrounded by so many exotic and strange foods. Liam always wants to start off by seeing the fishies...too bad he doesn't realize they are on their way to be slaughtered. He's also fascinated with the live lobster and the fresh fish and shrimp they display on ice. I love that I can find everything I need to make my Cuban, Asian or Jamaican dishes complete. I could literally spend hours there exploring, reading labels, sampling and anxiously seeing what new foods Im going to experiment on that week. I almost always eat the stuff I pick up before hand because I just don't have the patience to wait till we leave. Then I show up to the register to pay for empty rappers and often banana peels or peanut shells. The cashiers always always get a laugh out of it. By the time we make it out its time to feed Lukw so I find a secluded parking spot, let Liam roam around or shall I say climb around the car while till we're ready to leave. I actually love those car nursing sessions with the boys and I, with no where to be...just me and them bonding and building memories.

My favorite ending to our outing |
Ok, this is going to sound totally cheesy but... It's those simple moments (like you mentioned in this post) that feel like the best, most peaceful, right? Your post reminded me of certain moments shared with my kiddies. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletelol Not cheesy, you described it best...peaceful. Im glad you know that "feeling" I'm talking about. Weather we are in a car or a dressing room at a department store I always feel so close to my kids in those moment :)
ReplyDeleteDo they have Asian BB cream and cosmetics there? I had forgotten how good the prices are! Hopefully I can talk my husband into driving me there in the next week or two. He eats the food so he shouldn't have a problem with it!
