Ants On A Log

It amazing how happy it makes a mom when their kid loves eating healthy foods. I think we underestimate their taste buds or sometimes think they have the same pallets we do. Since becoming a Mom I have really made an effort to make my own baby foods, dehydrate fruits for snacks, steam instead of microwave, fresh instead of frozen..etc. But every now and then I get off track and fall into buying junky stuff like my ultimate guilty purchase, EZ Mac! Liam loves it, (and so do I)  its so "EZ" to make... add a little fruit on the side to not feel so guilty and BAM you have lunch!

Well once again another Monday hit and I'm back on the healthy bandwagon :) I stocked my fridge with healthy goodies and Liam and I have been enjoying snacks like cucumber & carrots dipped in hummus and a new one "Ants on a Log". 


All you need is the following 3 ingredients:
  • Organic Celery 
  • Natural Peanut butter (Stay away from peanut butters with Hydrogenated oils) 
  • Craisins or Raisins 
It's a fun snack to make with your kids. Liam was so excited by the name and ate them all up. We even made up a song that he kept singing with every bite. "Ants on log are yummy, yummy, yummy  for my tummy tummy tummy" Enjoy!
